Manitoba Honey Bee Day – May 29th

Manitoba Honey Bee Day 2025 took place on Thursday, May 29 at Brandon University. It was a community-oriented celebration of honey bees, pollinators, and the beekeeping industry, hosted by the Manitoba Beekeepers' Association.

In 2025, the event expanded to include school field trips, giving students a unique hands-on learning experience featuring live observation hives, beekeeper Q&A, honey tasting, pollinator seed giveaways, and interactive photo booths.

This annual event is free and open to the public, with the goal of raising awareness about pollinator habitat and the crucial role bees play in sustainable agriculture. We appreciate our supporters, including: BeeMaid Honey, Dancing Bee Equipment, BeeU at Brandon University, KRTP, and McKenzie Seeds.

MBA Field Days

Field days are chance to see different operations, hear guest speakers, and talk tips, tricks, and all things beekeeping!

The 2024 MBA Field Day was held at Merv Malyon’s Kemnay Apiaries.

Our next Field Day will take place in 2026. If you are interested in hosting a field day, please contact the MBA chairperson or the KRTP. We appreciate your engagement!

Annual Convention & AGM

While the convention has a registration fee, the AGM is open to all MBA members - no cost to attend.
